Whats going on in Australia??

Thank you so much for listening today! I had a great time this morning on the radio!

I hope Spring 2010 is treating all of you well! I am in the concluding half the second semester of my junior year as a Communications student at the University of North Alabama. This semester has been filled with joy from leading my sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, as president and being part of discipleship groups and Student Government Association. Even though I have been busy, I have learned so much through my activities, classes, and mentors. All these lessons from the past make me so excited about the adventures of this New Year!

Last summer I had the opportunity of living in Ft. Walton, Florida to participate in a Campus Outreach program called Beach Project as a room leader. The Summer Beach Project is a ten-week missions and training opportunity where students from different colleges around the southeast can invest their summer. The purpose behind it is to help each student grow in his or her personal relationship with Jesus Christ and learn how to the share the good news of Christ with others. It is also designed to help build godly character into the lives of the students and that is how it has impacted my walk. God used beach project to give me a vision for the nations and missions to reach students for Christ. I believe that the best way to reach the world is by planning and going.

This summer, the Lord has given me to opportunity to go to across the world to Armidale, Australia on a Cross Cultural Project. There is a great need for laboring Christians in Australia, especially on the college campus. We will build vision for evangelizing the unreached, while learning how to better communicate the gospel in a secular world. Our hope is to see the Lord bring Australians to Christ and grow them into laborers. It is also a key time for character development and gaining a biblical view of fellowship with the body. The team will spend time building relationships with the students at the U. of New England in hopes of sharing the gospel with the lost and helping believers grow in their faith.

I ask that you join me in this ministry! I am seeking your prayers and support for this mission trip. The cost of CCP is $6,000 and this includes the flight, lodging, and food for 8 weeks and programs for ministry opportunities on campus with the students in Australia as well as training for myself in the spring semester and with my mission team that I will be working with for the two months. If you wish to sponsor me financially, there are two ways that you may do so. If you wish to donate by check, please make it to “Campus Outreach” to claim it on your tax return. You may also donate directly on my blog using my paypal account on the left sidebar. The Lord is really using this support ministry to grow me in my faith and trust in Him to provide for me. I greatly appreciate any amount towards His cause.

Even though the financial aspect is important, I am asking for your prayer support—not only for me, but for the students attending and leaders in charge of this program. Pray that God will use this summer reach and grow us to become laborers to the lost world. The Lord tells us, in Romans 8:28, that all things work together for the good of His people, and so I know that He will be working to reach the nations and people groups as well as bless you in this ministry. I am blessed to have this opportunity and excited to share it with you!

For any questions at all about any of this, please feel free to message me!

So that all may know,
